San Marino. Judge Andrea Morrone swore an oath in front of the Regents

Professor Andrea Morrone was sworn in as the new Third Instance Judge for the civil liability of Magistrates.

The ceremony was held this morning in front of the Most Excellent Captains Regent Gian Carlo Venturini And Marco Nicolini, to the Secretaries of State for Internal Affairs Elena Tonnini and for Justice Maximum Andrew Ugolini and to some Councilors. Professor Morrone was appointed by the Plenary Judicial Council on May 5, 2021.

“With this appointment – writes the Institutional Secretariat Office in a note – the Republic of San Marino makes a remarkable transition and places solid foundations for the balance of the judicial system, thanks to the very well-known legal experts to whom he has entrusted extremely delicate roles. Professor Morrone is considered one of the best Italian constitutionalists, is an expert in civil law, in institutions of public law, legal sciences and is a member of the Technical Commission for the conferral of legitimacy functions at the Court of Cassation “.

Morrone is one of the two judges to whom, after winning a regular competition, the majority had revoked the appointment with the famous decision in self-defense of autumn 2020.
