San Marino. A new guide to incentives for energy efficiency
A 41-page brochure, where every citizen can learn and deepen the incentives for energy efficiency active in the San Marino area and the practices and procedures to be carried out to access them:
this is the meaning of the guide created by the Secretariat of State for the Territory and the Environment, which from the next few days will be distributed to all trade associations and professional associations of San Marino. It will also be available and always downloadable for all citizens from the portal of the Single Energy Desk, by accessing the link: www.sportelloenergia.sm/on-line/home/ article45015616.html.
With the recent Delegated Decree of 25 June 2021, the Secretariat of State for the Territory updated the San Marino legislation on energy incentives, equating it to the most advanced European directives. In particular, the regulations are aimed at encouraging the production of energy from renewable sources and the use of more performing materials, building and plant engineering, with particular attention to new technologies.
Distinctive in this sense is the increase in the limit to 100 kW for photovoltaic systems with the on-site exchange mechanism that can be used by both individuals and economic operators. An all-San Marino unicum, which allows businesses to produce energy from renewable sources even if they are unable to install a photovoltaic system at their home or business, responding to a need expressed by various operators in the Historic Centers.
With the printing of this guide, the Secretariat of State for the Territory and the Environment also takes the opportunity to present the new Office for Environmental Prevention and Surveillance – UPAV, the result of the reorganization of the offices and the optimization of the functions of the Territory Department and which will cover in an organic way the functions attributed to the UOS Protection of the natural and built environment, UOS Environmental management, the Supervisory Inspectorate and Energy Desk. Precisely this new office, based at the Admiral Point di Dogana Bassa, will be the reference point for incentives for all practices related to energy in the Republic of San Marino.
Stefano Canti (State Secretary for the Territory and the Environment): “Environmental sustainability and green economy are the key principles with which my Secretariat is setting up all the policies related to the environment of the Republic of San Marino. This guide is nothing more than the synthesis of a path that has led our country to adopt a serious and efficient system of incentives related to energy efficiency and which we hope will be an advertising flywheel to make as many citizens as possible know the opportunities for these policies “.
