Petersburg will cooperate with the Republic of Belarus in business and humanitarian spheres
Governor Alexander Beglov met today, September 30, in Smolny with State Secretary of the Union State of Russia and Belarus Dmitry Mezentsev. They discussed issues of economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between St. Petersburg and the Republic of Belarus.
According to Alexander Beglov, the development of comprehensive interaction is especially important at the new stage of integration interaction between Russia and Belarus.
During the meeting, the talk is about cooperation between St. Petersburg and the Republic of Belarus and the Minsk City Executive Committee. The readiness to organize the visit of Alexander Beglov to Minsk was confirmed, the press service of Smolny informed.
“Belarus is one of the most important partners of our city. We are united by strong business ties. St. Petersburg is interested in the implementation of new projects and is ready for further development of relations with the help of the industrial complex of Belarus, development of ties in the field of culture and education, “said Alexander Beglov.
The head of the city added that in the near future a competition on the history of St. Petersburg will be organized for schoolchildren in Minsk and other regional centers. Alexander Beglov also invited children from Belarus to the festival of professions of the federal project “Ticket to the Future”. It will be held in the northern capital from October 18 to December 5 at the site of the historical park “Russia is my history”.
