A four-episode documentary series that tells us about the evolution of Teatro de Revista, from its genesis in 1850 to the present day. At the same time, a relationship is established between the political and social situation in the country and life in Lisbon projected in the shows.

The great bet of the series is a recreation of several theatrical numbers, some with the particularity of being completely unpublished. The recreations were staged by Flávio Gil, who is also part of the cast, along with José Raposo, Maria João Abreu, Paula Sá, Sara Brás, Diogo Martins and Ricardo Raposo.

Produced by Panavideo, it is a series based on an original idea by António-Pedro Vasconcelos and Leandro Ferreira, directed by Leandro Ferreira and Pedro Clérigo.

on the debut episode Let’s get to know the History of Teatro de Revista in Portugal from the Genesis of the Magazine to the end of the First Republic, or the year of 1926.

It was in the former Teatro do Ginásio, in Lisbon, that on January 11, 1851, the first Portuguese magazine entitled “Lisboa em 1850” was released. His great star was actor Francisco Taborda. With ironic and sharp texts, the magazine immediately started putting its finger on politics, which did not please the Costa Cabral government.
