The draw for the group stage of the European League was not kind with the Toulouse verses in group A where they will be opposed in particular to Füchse Berlin, finalist of the last edition.
It’s tough waiting for Toulouse handball players for the next European League campaign, for which they validated their participation in the group stage, last Tuesday, by eliminating the Swedes from Malmö. Carried out this morning, the draw of the groups offered some consistency to the men of Danijel Andjelkovic who were poured into group A. The Toulousains will therefore compete against Füche Berlin, finalist of the last European League; to the Poles of Wisla Plock whom they had already faced the last season (defeats 27-25 in Poland then 26-25 in Toulouse) and who had climbed to the semi-final of the event. Other opponents: the Swiss from Winterthur and the Slovakians from Tatran Presov, regulars in the Champions League. Finally, the Spaniards of Bidasoa Irun complete the group, an opponent that Toulouse have faced twice this summer during their pre-season preparation.
The group stage will start on October 19 and qualify the top four in each group for the round of 16, scheduled for early March 2022.
