Police officers were able to stop a drug driver and a motorist with two per mille on Wednesday evening. Both drivers were noticed by their conspicuous driving style. During radar controls in the Hallein district, exceeding the speed limit was found in more than 200 vehicles.

On Wednesday evening, a drug driver who was traveling in the direction of Villach was stopped on the Tauern Autobahn (A10). The driver of the car was on a civil patrol from the Anif autobahn inspection because he had shown a noticeable controlled driving style. An alcohol test in the 28-year-old was negative, an addiction test positive (THC). The man from Hallein confessed that he had consumed two joints the night before. In the course of the medical examination, the unfit to drive was determined. His driver’s license was taken away and forbidden to continue driving.

Unsafe motorists had two per thousand

Also on Wednesday evening, a driver called the police for help, as a vehicle with a conspicuous driving style was driving on the western motorway from Salzburg towards Eugendorf. A little later, another driver in the Kraiwiesen area in Eugendorf was reported to be unsafe on the way. Policemen finally managed to stop and control the driver. The 40-year-old local had over two per mille. The driver’s license was taken away and a complaint was made to him.

Motorcyclist caught lawn twice

Police officers from the state traffic departments carry out radar measurements with changing conditions in the Hallein district on Wednesday evening. A motorcyclist from Tennengau was measured in a 50 km / h restriction with double speed and 100 km / h in Puch on Halleiner Straße L 105. A little later, the same motorcyclist was measured in Scheffau on Lammertal Strasse B 162 at a permitted 100 km / h with a speed of 170 km / h. The motorcyclist is reported and has to face a driving license withdrawal procedure.
In total, the speed of 3237 vehicles was measured. 231 drivers were traveling too fast and are reported to the agency.
