Crack in Paris: “Awake Nightmare”

People first. Those that crack dehumanizes to transform beings into zombies slaves to the most degrading impulses, those who legitimately fear at every moment of being victims of the drug addict turned delinquent, of the delinquent under the influence of drugs.
Symbols, then. The obscene violence, the humiliating truth of a disintegration of the State on the fringes of our metropolises. Soft mobility, inclusive and equitable progressivism in the city center; decline and aggression in the peripheries. What a contrast between the soothing speeches on the uselessness of borders and this cinder block wall that one builds in a few hours to block a tunnel between Pantin and the north of the capital! What a gap between the “Paris in common” described by Anne Hidalgo and the frightening picture of these abandoned streets!
