The prefecture of Pas-de-Calais has extended the prefectural decree taken after the death of a young man on September 10 during a tuning competition in Libercourt.
The prefecture of Pas-de-Calais continues its fight against demonstrations of tuning since the accident on September 11 in Libercourt. During a speed race between participants in the industrial zone of “Portes du Nord”, a 19 year old man was killed after being struck by a vehicle and six other people were injured.
The prefecture of Pas-de-Calais arrested on Wednesday extended the ban for tuning and running gatherings in Lens and Béthune, this time for all weekends in October.
Car parks targeted by the prefecture
In Lens, all the car parks in the Cora Lens 2 commercial areas in Vendin-le-Vieil, on the car parks in the Intermarché commercial area in Carvin, the car parks in the Maison Plus commercial area in Hénin-Beaumont, the car parks from the Bollaert-Delelis stadium in Lens, the “Portes du Nord” industrial zone in Libercourt, and rue Pascal in Libercourt.
In Béthune, the decree concerned avenue de Londres in Douvrin, avenue de Sofia in Billy-Berclau, the boulevards north, east, south, west as well as the streets circumscribed within this perimeter, the municipalities of Douvrin and Billy- Berclau, and the rue de la Paix in Noyelles-les-Vermelles.
