The entire Russian contingent left Belarus after the Zapad-2021 exercise
The last military echelon with servicemen and equipment of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, who participated in the strategic exercises “West-2021” on the territory of Belarus, went to their points of permanent deployment. This information was confirmed on Wednesday in the military department of the Republic of Belarus.
As “SOYUZ” informed earlier, the Belarusian-Russian strategic exercises were held at the training grounds of the Union State from 10 to 16 September. On the territory of Belarus, about 12,800 people took part in them, including about 2,500 Russian servicemen and up to 50 Kazakh servicemen from the CSTO collective rapid reaction forces.
In addition to specifying in the defense leadership, up to 350 pieces of equipment were involved in joint maneuvers, including about 140 tanks, about 110 pieces of artillery and multiple launch rocket systems, more than 30 aircraft and helicopters.
To practice the tasks of the exercises on the territory of Belarus, the 230th Obuz-Lesnovsky combined-arms training ground, the 174th air force training ground and the Domanovsky air defense forces, the 210th Ruzhansky air training ground and the Brestsky training ground were used, remind news portals.
