Salzburg city: A car that is too loud can blow up alcoholics
A 49-year-old car driver drew attention from afar on Tuesday evening in Aigner Strasse in the city of Salzburg. A police patrol hears the car, which is far too loud, from a distance. In the course of the noise measurement, the officer also noticed the driver’s alcohol odor. An alcohol test showed 1.02 per mille.

During the noise measurement, the car was eleven decibels louder than permitted. The Hungarian was forbidden to continue driving and his driver’s license was removed on the spot. In addition, it is displayed and the car is summoned for a special inspection in accordance with the Motor Vehicle Act.
Too loud motorcycle stopped in Niederalm
An hour before that, a loud motorcycle was stopped in Niederalm (Flachgau). A noise measurement showed 109 decibels. The motorcycle, which was equipped with an unapproved exhaust silencer, exceeded its permissible value by twelve decibels. The handlebar is indicated to the BH Salzburg-Umgebung.
