Nicolas Florian et Bordeaux Ensemble vont inaugurer la place Gambetta

The ten municipal councilors of Nicolas Florian’s group were present for their back-to-school press conference. In addition to the criticisms against a return of the majority which “lacks ambitions”, Bordeaux Ensemble has also formalized its status which will be presented during an “inauguration” of Place Gambetta in mid-October.

“It will be a first founding act” declares Nicolas Florian. The president of Bordeaux Ensemble announces the constitution in association law 1901 of his political group of municipal opposition in Bordeaux and gives an appointment with the Bordelais “towards mid-October” for its official launch on the place Gambetta.

“We are going to inaugurate the square and it will be a good time to unite the Bordelais and the Bordelais who will not protect themselves in the action of the municipal majority of Pierre Hurmic. ”

The choice of Place Gambetta is not trivial. This rehabilitation, the last imprint left by the right of Alain Juppé in Bordeaux, has never been inaugurated by the current mayor. The latter was opposed to this development by chaining himself to the trees to prevent their felling.

“More sound, more image”

“It’s time to reorganize politically” explains Nicolas Florian. The structure of Bordeaux Ensemble takes over that of Esprit Bordeaux, an association created in 2018 to support Alain Juppé’s candidacy for the 2020 municipal elections. Its mission will be to “support the action of elected officials in each district”, allow “citizens to be part of their ideas”, and “work on foresight”.

The elected representatives of the Bordeaux Ensemble group came “for a political roadmap” (WS / Rue89 Bordeaux)

However, the elected representatives of the municipal opposition were “all present to show a unity” dixit Nathalie Delattre, a few months after their divisions in the last elections. They also wanted to react to the back-to-school press conference of the mayor of Bordeaux:

“This is the first time that a mayor of Bordeaux has summed up his back-to-school press conference to a single policy: mobility. […] We regret this lack of ambition: not a word on the river, not a word on the boulevards, not a word on the youth and even the seniors after periods of confinement and isolation, not a word on the return to sport. and culture, not a word on economic life and employment, not a word on viticulture, and on safety, more sound and more image! »Nicolas Florian grapeshot.

The former mayor of Bordeaux thus wanted, “the political shock of the change of majority”, “to put on the table of the public debate subjects which deserve the anticipation and the reflection”. From the question of waste, “big forgotten of the current policy”, while passing by the “inclusive writing used in the minutes of the municipal councils”, Bordeaux Ensemble gives the for a political re-entry of which the first municipal council is fixed at the Tuesday, October 5.
