A pop-cultural phenomenon that came to us from Japan as a tsunami. Get to know cartoons about love and betrayal, history, dreams and problems that have engulfed the world. This evening will be dedicated to sophisticated films and series that have shown us that commercial animation is not just about Hollywood. With the enthusiast Pavel Chmel, we will enter the world of Japanese anime, where we will learn how it all came about. What do creators have to go through in the 1930s or 1940s, for example? When did the anime start to spread massively? What are the trends today? Which creators shaped this genre? What anime affected us the most and why? Why is this type of cinema a success? Pavel “Grek1” Hops
is a fan of anime, manga and Japan in general. He is a co-organizer of Akicon and a well-known figure of the Czech otaku scene. His lectures on cones are widely attended. He is famous for spreading his knowledge, fun and radicalism in expressing his views.
