Free swabs at the Florence station, closing the point of the Red Cross

Stop to kidnapped tampons free without reservation and medical prescription in the center set up by the Italian Red Cross at the Florence Santa Maria Novella station, near the Royal Palace. In fact, tomorrow, Thursday 30 September, as scheduled, the tampon project started in mid-May in various Italian stations, including that of the Florence station, will close. The initiative, the costs of which were borne by the Red Cross thanks to the contribution of the European Commission, made it possible to carry out hundreds of thousands of tests with over 1200 volunteers employed throughout the Italian territory and 325 health workers.

“Once again the international network of the Red Cross – underlines Francesco Rocca, president of the Italian Red Cross – has shown its strength and ability to be alongside the most vulnerable. Through this impressive screening at European level, we have offered an instrument in more in the fight against the pandemic and we have also approached all those people who will form social marginalization with difficulty in accessing health services. I want to thank the hundreds of volunteers and operators involved throughout the national territory and the institutions that made the project possible “.
