Another arrest for drug dealing carried out by the municipal police of Pisa after the two a few days ago. Yesterday, Tuesday 28 September, the agents were engaged in a long operation aimed at framing a drug dealer in the station area, to catch the man in the act of crime.
The operation began at 8.30 in the morning, when a patrol on duty in the station area stopped a young man of Italian nationality, found in a car with an offender of foreign origin, known to the police. Both conducted at the headquarters in via Battisti, the investigations confirmed that the man of foreign nationality appeared to be irregular on the Italian territory and have precedents for dealing, robbery and damage, while the young Italian confessed that he was there to buy a dose of cocaine, which the dealer had immediately swallowed at the sight of the patrol, as told by himself.
The young man also revealed to the agents that the day before he had bought a dose of drugs on credit from another drug dealer in Viale Gramsci, who he had robbed his cell phone he had with him, then demanding the payment of 40 euros to restore the phone. At this point the operation of the Municipal Police was triggered, thanks to the full collaboration of the young man, to catch the pusher-robber in the act. Having organized the meeting with the exporter, the young man agreed to pay with 4 bills of 10 euros signed with the signature of an agent and photocopied, in order to be recognized. At the tables of a commercial establishment in Viale Gramsci, the young Italian presented himself to the organized appointment, but there he did not find his extortionist, but another drug dealer of foreign nationality. The young man, having decided to use the marked banknotes to buy drugs, moved to the nearby Via Vespucci together with the drug dealer: here the exchange of the dose with the 40 euro marked took place. The plainclothes municipal agents who witnessed the scene stopped the boy still holding the dose of cocaine and then identified the dealer who in the meantime had returned to the tables in the bar, where other plainclothes agents were waiting for him to stop him.
Once searched, the dealer was found to be in possession of 5 bills of 10 euros, of which 4 were precisely those signed and photocopied, and an additional dose of cocaine hidden in the risk of the pants. Immediately arrested, the man was immediately tried this morning by the Judge of the Court of Pisa who validated the arrest, sentencing him to 8 months in prison with the possibility of plea bargaining. Having chosen to negotiate, the man would have returned to freedom with a parole, but was instead accompanied to the Immigration Office of the Pisa Police Headquarters to be taken to the CIE and expelled immediately, as he was not legal on Italian territory.
“There are already 18 arrests made by the Municipal Police of Pisa from June to today – comments the councilor for security Giovanna Bonanno – the operation was carried out a few days after the arrest of two other drug dealers, stopped in the Vettovaglie area and result recipients of the expulsion order, of one executed immediately. In all three cases they were dealers with numerous precedents for drug dealing, violence, robbery and damage. Thanks to the intense collaboration with the Immigration Office of the Pisa Police Headquarters, for two of them the expulsion procedure from Italian soil was immediately initiated, while for the third the decree remains to be executed, even if he was removed from the territory of the Municipality of Pisa. I would like to express my compliments and special thanks to the agents because with these brilliant operations they are demonstrating that with will and professionalism it is possible to counteract the presence of drug dealers in our city “.
