DEPECHE INFO. Near Toulouse: 76 plants of cannabis discovered in a couple of octogenarians
Over the past three days, major drug seizures have been carried out by customs in the department with more than 150 kilos. This Sunday, the Beauzelle gendarmes discovered an important crop of cannabis herb in a couple of octogenarians living in Seilh, in the north of Toulouse.
After the 150 kilos seized by the customs of Montauban and Frouzins last weekend, the gendarmes of the community of Beauzelle brigades attached to the Toulouse-Mirail gendarmerie company also made a great find. This Sunday, September 26, thanks to anonymous information, the gendarmes are in the town of Seilh, north of Toulouse.
On the spot, they carry out a search of a house inhabited by a couple of octogenarians. In the garden of the house, the gendarmes discover 76 feet of cannabis herb. The plants grew in greenhouses. Total seizure: more than 80 kilos, trunks included.
After investigations, the gendarmes in fact discovered that this culture as well as all the material belonged to the son of this couple who lives in a neighboring commune of Seilh. Aged 25, this young man already known for similar facts was arrested and taken into police custody.
At the end, he was referred to the Toulouse Criminal Court. He was then sentenced on Tuesday, September 28 during a comparison hearing on prior acknowledgment of guilt (CRPC).
