Two penalty goals by Adeyemi were enough for Salzburg to win 2-1 in their home game against OSC Lille. Bayern clearly beat Dynamo Kiev, Barca are in debacle at Benfica, Ronaldo saves ManUnited.
After the draw at the beginning of the Champions League at Sevilla FC, Red Bull Salzburg continued today with the home game against OSC Lille. After the guests from France were the active team at the beginning, Salzburg got better and better into the game as the first half continued. After a foul on Adeyemi, after a long video study, there was a penalty in the 33rd minute. The fouled competed himself and converted to 1-0. Since Kristensen failed a short time later with a head on the post, it went with the narrow lead during the break.
Second penalty and a goalkeeper mistake
In the second half, Salzburg was awarded another penalty right at the beginning after a handball – the fifth in the second CL game of the season. This time too, Adeyemi took the chance and increased it to 2-0 (53rd). Less than ten minutes later, a Yilmaz free kick brought Lille back into play, with Salzburg keeper Köhn looking anything but good. In the rest of the season, Salzburg held up well, brought home the narrow victory and is at the top of the Group G table after two matchdays.
Big win for Bavaria
Bayern received Dynamo Kiev in Munich and made it clear from the start who the big favorites in this duel are. Already in the 12th minute Lewandowski gave the home side a 1-0 lead with a penalty, in the 27th minute the Pole made it 2-0 after Müller’s preparatory work. In the second half Gnabry (67th) increased with a shot under the crossbar to 3-0. About ten minutes later, Sané made it 4-0 with a slipped cross and Choupo-Moting made it 5-0 in the 87th minute.
Juve beats Chelsea
In the top game of the evening, the reigning Champions League winner Chelsea London will be playing at Juventus Turin, which started the season not well. And the British put a lot of pressure and had a lot of possession right from the start. However, the home side defended skillfully and allowed little. So it went with a goalless draw during the break.
The second half started with a goal: Chiesa gave Juventus a 1-0 lead after just ten seconds. Subsequently, the British tried everything to at least equalize – but nothing to do against the strong Juve defensive War tonight. So the Turin celebrated a short victory.
Barca run into debacle
In the other games of the evening there was a medium-sized surprise in Lisbon. So Benfica was clearly 3-0 victorious against a once again disappointing Barcelona. The goals were scored by Darwin Nunez (3rd / 79th) and Rafa (69th). In addition, Garcia saw the yellow-red card shortly before the end. In Manchester, a previously weak Ronaldo shot his team with a last-minute goal for a happy 2-1 win against Villarreal.
In the second game of the Salzburg group, VFL Wolfsburg and FC Sevilla split with a 1-1 draw. The Spaniards only got the deserved equalizer with a penalty in the 86th minute. In the early evening Atalanta Bergamo beat Young Boys Bern 1-0 and Zenit St. Petersburg celebrated a 4-0 home win against Malmö.
