Unheard of in Bulgaria – a platform that will translate works of Bulgarian writers for free
The Bulgarian Nikolay Dimitrov presented his novel “Dealer of Realities” at the Peroto Club (National Palace of Culture), combined with the anonymity of the platform of the same name, which he and a team of programs created with the sole purpose of promoting Bulgarian writers abroad. This unique platform will soon be available to users and will translate these novels, storytellers, essays and poetry into 50 languages.
The cyberpunk novel “Dealer of Realities” is the work of the publishing house “Kolibri” (2019) and even with the release in Russian, causing an unimaginable scandal in Russia and Ukraine.
In your desire to get closer you will be with us. Nikolay Dimitrov not only writes about him in the books, but he also tries to technologically surpass time. The platform translates artistic texts through artificial intelligence and shows a quality that far exceeds the experience in google translate. The results are so good that they compete with the work of translators.
The presentation in “Peroto” is modeled by Kremena Dimitrova, who says: “Nicholas is a step forward, related literature and technology. It does not allow us to use technology for good purposes.
The author was asked both the plot of the book and the reasons for creating the platform. Nicholas went back and told about studying at NGDEK: “This high school does not allow us to come out with 5-6 languages in our pockets. I know what a huge job it is to learn one language, to learn 2-3 languages, and in my case – 10 languages. I know what talent and effort translators put into it. When they saw the imperfection in google translate, together with some friends we decided to create artificial intelligence that would be much more perfect and help translators. Of course, any text could be translated better, but you will see for yourself that artificial intelligence offers great potential. This is my gift for Bulgaria, which is why I know how few translations are translated from Bulgarian into rare languages - e.g. Swahili, Chinese, Norwegian, Ukrainian, Swedish, Croatian … And no one cares about Bulgarian writers reaching the world. The algorithm can translate a work of 400 pages in 20 minutes. The options will be included in the platform without editing. After that, however, whoever wishes, I could turn to the native speaker for possible editing.
Join the questions asked: how will the platform work in practice, will this way of translation cause dissatisfaction on the part of professional translators, will publishers go bankrupt by protecting copyright, will they be able to build intellectual intelligence to deal with idiomatic expressions, abstract metaphors, archaisms and authorial neologisms? Will the translation be paid for, will it be possible for the files to be downloaded and printed by the publishers?
Here are the answers of Nikola Dimitrov: “In the 21st century, the issuance of low levels of business can not be collected, as it was in the 19th and 20th centuries. We create new technologies ourselves. We determine whether we have given dealers a new reality. The platform is my novel because I am the copyright holder. I propose the creation of a commission of publishers and writers to determine 10 Bulgarian authors for the start of operation of the platform. For a period of a year the work of the platform will be free — so I’m the right feeder for my 50th birthday. We will definitely prevent graphomania attacks and there will be a selection. “
To check how the platform translates, excerpts from the novel “Dealer of Realities” were read in Bulgarian, Serbian, Russian, German, Macedonian. Attend convinced that you translate with perfect – accurately convey the plot and meaning, there are no defects in syntax, in the coordination of individual parts of the sentence, in phrasing, or in stable word combinations.
The future of writers is being illuminated in a new way today. Social networks are already reducing the demand for exchange texts, which is why users hold their attention for up to 2 minutes through a trailer, a photo, 3-4 sentences or two verses. Undoubtedly, despite the writers, they will no longer depend on the commissions in the Ministry of Culture, on the foundations and publishers who bless one or another author and launch him abroad.
The reality dealer will be promoted on the plane of the beginning of the world.
The level of interest will be determined by the Virtual Laureates, not the Swedish Academy. The weight of the award in general in the field of literature will be faded against the background of the digital horizon.

It is to be published in Georgia, Poland, Turkey, the Czech Republic and other countries. The novel quickly took second place in the sales rankings after a new book by Victor Pelevin, the defeat of tension and various dream scandals – the text was condemned by the Russian Orthodox Church, a social network with more than 50,000 followers, censored the trailer. Defined as a psychological cyberpunk thriller, the novel tells the story of the only corporate spy who becomes a messiah for the use of digital religion in the world.
