Study abroad but come back. How young that Poland is fa? Report from Our Future Forum
In one of the world’s educational organizations, 200 participants participated in the country. The organizer of the initiative is our Future Foundation, a foundation that brings together students and students, graduates of Polish skill companies.
It was the second edition of this event. The discussion panels included, inter alia, Robert Perkowski (PGNIG SA), Michał Sapota (HRE Investments), Marcin Eckert (PKO Bank Polski), Magdalena Kasiewicz (Microsoft), Wojciech Hann (BOŚ Bank), Tomasz Rega (KSC SA), Marcin Słomczyński (Harvard Club of Poland) .
The main initiation of learning about the achievements of effective methods of encouraging young Polish masters abroad to return to Poland. Importantly, in the debates discussed also researchers who would like to collect research on the topics. They met that the main problem today is that the unattractive market of student support programs is their shares and countries.
– Currently, 50,000 young Polish students are scattered all over the world. It depends on us and our own actions whether they return to the country and feed the economy with their experience and skills. So what we need now for a coherent strategy to combat the brain drain – said Michał Maurycy Mazur, president of the Our Future Foundation.
– Only thanks to the cooperation of business, administration and non-governmental organizations can this generation be present. Due to the fact that there are opportunities for development and good work for them in Poland – Mazur added.
The topic of combating the exclusion of young talents from smaller children in access to the best best in the country and abroad was also discussed. The panellists noted that many talents did not materialize due to the fact that they could help.
– Support for young, talented people is very important. Not every great talent can study abroad. Why would they stay after this possibility? “Dziurnik is my sapien” – said the president of H Investments (Foundation’s Supervisor).
Our Future Foundation has been running a scholarship program for several years, bearing in mind that the aim of supporting high school students with minimization in the application, which is the truest price of foreign universities. Over 100 alumni of the Foundation study abroad at universities such as Yale, Oxford and LSE.
Already in this year’s scholarships, as well as selected high school students from workshops by Polish master workshops. Classes will focus, among others on building entrepreneurship in young people and instilling in them leadership skills.
