We now know who will succeed David Bobée – who left for the North – at the head of the National Dramatic Center (CDN) from Rouen (Seine-Maritime): these are two puppeteers, Camille Found and Brice Berthoud, founders of the company Angels on the Ceiling, based in Malakoff (Hauts-de-Seine).
Multidisciplinary approach
“This is the second CDN, after the one in Strasbourg, which will be led by puppeteers,” explains the Rouen CDN team. Camille Found and Brice Berthoud are currently on tour – they are both directors and actors – they will take up their duties probably at the end of October. ”
The presentation leaflet of the company Les Anges au Plafond details: “Since its creation in 2000, the company Les Anges au Plafond has followed its unique path to become a reference in the Arts of Puppetry… and beyond. The multidisciplinary approach dreamed up by Camille Found and Brice Berthoud, the founders, has pushed the experiments to aesthetic territories which establish boundaries between disciplines of the performing arts. In their creations, the arts of movement, plastic research, new magic, musical theatricality, gravitate around the central axis of manipulation. “
