Montegiardino is a candidate for the Best Tourism Village UNWTO
For the World Tourism Day, which was celebrated yesterday, the Republic of San Marino has launched Montegiardino’s candidacy, – the smallest of the San Marino Castles, the only one to participate, – at the Best Tourism Village ofUnited Nations World Tourism Organization. The Secretary of State announced it to the citizens Federico Pedini Amati together with Giunta di Castello.
With his participation, Montegiardino – which boasts a peculiar Old Town and in general it offers an excellent quality of life to residents and tourists, – fully responds to the aims of the competition, namely to highlight the importance of rural tourism and small villages, enhancing them through a global project. For Italy, among other things, the Municipality of Rocca Pietore that the people of San Marino know well.
