Maya Capital invests 65 million in real estate assets in Portugal – Executive Digest
Maya Capital arrived in Portugal and brought a heavy pot of gold to the Portuguese real estate market. The real estate investment fund invested a total of 65 million euros (including the purchase and development costs), in what was the first purchase of a portfolio in Portuguese territory and also “the company’s biggest acquisition to date”.
According to ‘Idealista’, the portfolio comprises seven buildings in return from the Portuguese capital, mostly residential, in the parishes of Misericórdia, Santo António, Santa Maria Maior and Avenidas Novas.
The statement from the company led by António Pinto de Abreu said that the objective stipulated for this portfolio passes through the “rehabilitation of the buildings, with the project management being in charge of it”.
“I am very happy to announce the first transaction through our Iberian platform. We are very excited about the opportunities that exist in the market in Portugal and Spain, certain that they will solidify and grow our portfolio through the team based in Lisbon”, considers David Pralong, managing partner of Maya Capital.
