The police arrested a 35-year-old in the Hildesheim area. He is said to be involved in the violent death of a prostitute in Hanover-Stöcken.
A 25-year-old suspect has been in custody since last Friday. Investigators had arrested him the day before in the Hildesheim area. He also remains in jail. “We assume that the two know each other,” said a spokesman for the Hanover public prosecutor’s office on Tuesday evening to the NDR in Lower Saxony. “There is a suspicion that they committed the crime collectively.”
Where is the SIM card? Dogs in action
The 25-year-old has so far denied the crime. Although he was there, no one opened the apartment door, the spokesman said on Monday. The investigators said they found DNA traces of the man in the woman’s apartment. The suspect also stated that he had thrown away a SIM card for a mobile phone. This SIM card is searched for using a data tracking dog from North Rhine-Westphalia, i.e. the public prosecutor’s office.

Victim tied up and lifeless in the apartment
A neighbor had tied the 53-year-old woman more than a week ago and found lifeless in her apartment. The woman’s body was taken for a forensic examination on Monday morning to determine the cause and time of death. Due to the location of the evidence and the autopsy, the police assume a violent crime.
