Hannover 96: Gael Ondoua wants to play for the Russian national team – 2nd Bundesliga
After the Nuremberg game (Saturday, 8.30 p.m.) there is an international break again. Sei Muroya (27 / Japan), Florent Muslija (23 / Kosovo) and Maxi Beier (18 / German U20) received invitations. Gaël Ondoua (25) also dreams of this.

“Yes, that’s his goal,” confirms 96 sports director Marcus Mann (37) and adds: “But everything in good time.”
Ondoua will clear away for Russia.
The midfield vacuum cleaner was born in Cameroon, but grew up in Russia – and also has a Russian passport.
“Russia and I – that is an unconditional love,” Ondoua once said on Swiss television. And the “Sbornaja”, the Russian national team, his great longing …
To do that, he left the Swiss club Servette Geneva after two strong years (59 competitive games, four goals) and opted for 96. It is “only” the second division, but Ondoua still sees a good chance of attracting attention in Hanover.
About the reds in the national team! In his first few weeks, Ondoua showed that he has what it takes to be a national player.
In the victories against St. Pauli (1: 0) and Kiel (3: 0), he was immediately the organizing force in the physical sixth position, allowed to play through both times. Only against Sandhausen (1: 2) did he not succeed, Jan Zimmermann took him down after 75 minutes.
In his first bankruptcy, Ondoua was able to get a horse kiss on the thigh, not training on Tuesday. But on Wednesday he should get back in, his mission in Nuremberg will not be endangered.
