Berlin-Pankow: Murder near the suburb of Malchow
Berlin – On Tuesday morning, a body was found in the Berlin suburb of Malchow (part of Pankow) around 10 a.m. A police spokeswoman told the Berliner Zeitung that a suspect was arrested shortly afterwards. The dead person is a man. The police confirmed the Berliner Zeitung. Police have cordoned off the site on Ortnitstrasse, and forensic technicians are currently securing traces.
As the police assume that the man was the victim of a crime due to the external injuries, a homicide squad has taken over the investigation. It was initially unclear whether the suspect was arrested near the site. He is to be questioned later in the day.
It is still unclear what role a silver VW Golf will play. In the morning, the vehicle was parked inside the police cordon under a pavilion.
