“We are here to boycott the new organization that is proposed to us”. Microphone in hand, Cyrille Le Jamtel, member of the Manifesto collective of clinical psychologists and psychologists psychotherapists, displays the arguments of a profession which does not want to submit to the fate announced to it by the Government. In front of him, in front of the Prefecture of Calvados, 80 psychologists from the department responded to the call for a demonstration which echoes a movement of national scope.
Under the supervision of a doctor
“Today, patients call us on their own because they feel the need to consult a psychologist, or they come to us because they have been referred by an association, a school, or a partner, explains Marie Berzosa, who practices in Caen. Tomorrow, it will be necessary to go through a doctor, who will send the patient to us, and we will then have to give an opinion for the doctor to prescribe 10 sessions, or not. Psychologists refuse to be placed under the supervision of a general practitioner.
Like her colleagues, she regrets the “current medicalization” of psychological care. “And then this organization would lead to a loss of confidentiality,” adds Corinne, a colleague who also works in Caen. Cyrille Le Jamtel is very firm on the subject: “I will not report to a doctor”. Many of them seem to regret that the new treatment plan forces the patient to “tell himself several times to different interlocutors, which can represent a barrier, and moreover if he has to do it with a family doctor. who knows his loved ones. “
€ 22 per session compared to € 45 to € 60 currently
Another measure that creates controversy: the pricing of the session at 22 € with liberal psychologists, supported by the CPAM (finally 30 to 40 € announced by the president during the day, 40 for the first, 30 for the following ones) . “We are in favor of reimbursement by the CPAM, but not under the conditions currently proposed,” says Marie Berzosa. A session often lasts 40 or 45 minutes, without counting the work around to prepare it. And without forgetting that these 22 € do not seem to take into account the usual charges which weigh on a liberal professional: rent, electricity, heating, contribution, material, the time spent discussing with professional partners… ”
They fear a salary level that would be around 1,250 euros net per month, including five weeks of paid leave, but without days of training, or additional retirement, or cash advance.
