Will Bulgaria have a pantheon of its kings? – Curious
- Historians want Prof. Bozhidar Dimitrov’s dream to come true
- The place for eternal rest of Prince Ferdinand is in the Tarnovo church “St. 40 Martyrs”, category is Prof. Pavlov
The temple of Assenevtsi “Holy 40 Martyrs” in Veliko Tarnovo is only one of the pillars of our history. Church, on September 22, Prince Ferdinand declared the independence of Bulgaria to become a pantheon of Bulgarian rulers. This idea was launched 15 years ago, starting in the evening with historian Professor Bozhidar Dimitrov and historian from the University of Veliko Tarnovo Prof. Plamen Pavlov. Thus, the historical shrine in our old capital will remain a unifying proposal, preserving the memory of the Bulgarian rulers of the First, Second and Third Bulgarian kingdoms.
The middle historians continue and the controversy does not give a trace to the check in order to be the place of eternal peace for Tsar Ferdinand, who wished his mortal remains to remain in Bulgaria during his lifetime. The church was built by Ivan Assen II and he thinks it will become his family factory. The story is connected with his victory over the Byzantine emperor Theodore Comnenus at Klokotnitsa. The king convened the army on March 9, the day of St. Forty Sebastian martyrs, defeating the invader’s troops. Thus began the triumph in Bulgaria as the strongest country in the European southeast. “Bulgaria does not have a pantheon in your owners, and the most suitable place is the Ivan-Assen Temple”, commented before BNR historical Prof. Plamen Pavlov. “When Ivan Asen II built the temple” St. 40 Martyrs “, it is often said by colleagues that this is a family tomb. I am not very sure that it is exactly a family tomb, as Ivan Assen had an extremely strong sense of statehood. It is no coincidence that there will be a column of Krum in it. ,,
the column with the celebrity inscription of Omurtag
which may be marking the beginning of your literature. There is the very triumphant inscription of Ivan Asen II about the battle of Klokotnitsa, “added Prof. Pavlov. In comparison, the ruler’s idea is for the temple to become a pantheon of statehood.” There is no memory, a sacred place in Bulgaria, that is loaded with so much history and with so much historical memory as “St. 40 Men”, according to the historian. He recalls that the late Bozhidar Dimitrov wanted the bones of Tsar Samuel to be placed in the temple.
To gather in one place the mortal remains of all our rulers, even though they are not connected, or they will gain the fact that their graves are not known to them. The idea of the pantheon of rulers is also supported by President Georgi Parvanov.
The bones of Tsar Kaloyan and all three of the boyars from Tarnovo were reburied in 2007 with state and military principles. The “Church” St. 40 Martyrs “is a real Bulgarian shrine, in which the state, state and church are embedded. This is also understood by participants in the Constituent Assembly of 1879. This holy place is sympathetic to the Union”, announced during the ceremony of the head of state. Since then, it has been a tradition to celebrate Independence, every year on September 22, to present the color of the tomb of the ruler who defeated the Latins at Edirne. “In the church” St. 40 martyrs “for the pantheon of the Bulgarian rulers with brought and
particles from the places of death of several more cans and cares,
the historian Prof. Plamen Pavlov also tells. The late MP Pavel Chernev brought soil from the grave of Mikhail III Shishman Assen, which was the original grave in Staro Nagoricane in the daily Republic of Northern Macedonia. Prof. Pavlov brought soil from the place of death of Ivaylo from the town of Isakcha from the old Bulgarian Obluchitsa, today in Northern Dobrudja in Romania. “We know where Asparuh was killed, near Voznesenka, part of the big city of Zaporozhye, from there I brought a handful of soil. And from the mound of Kubrat. And from the tomb of George I Terter in Ivanovo rock churches. There is an ambition to look for others.” add the historian. After the death of Prof. Bozhidar Dimitrov, however, he initiated the death. “The idea to have such a pantheon must be further developed. It is no coincidence that there is a plaque in the churchyard. There the text is mine and all Bulgarian rulers, leaders of major uprisings, are given to see what history we have. Better personification of your history, of our historical memory from “St. 40 martyrs “no, just no”, Prof. Pavlov is categorized. Another idea of Prof. Bozhidar Dimitrov excites historians in our country. He insisted that the remains of Prince Ferdinand I be returned to Bulgaria and reburied in “St. 40 Martyrs” in Veliko Tarnovo, where the prince declared the independence of our country on September 22, 1908. “This met with a certain reaction, showing at Ferdinand understands many sins and historical guilt, but he also has a lot of merit, politicians, the First World War, which throws this power at Ferdinand, and he should not throw all the blame against one person. Ferdinand’s last wish was to be buried in Bulgaria, so his coffin was temporarily housed in the crypt of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Coburg from 1948 until today, a German town that housed him after his cousin – Austrian Emperor Charles I, does not want to give him a name in present-day Burgenland The last attempt to return the remains of King Ferdinand was made 10 years ago. is to reach a consensus in Bulgarian society. A formal expression of such consent would be the signing of a memorandum between the President, the Prime Minister, the Speaker of the National Assembly. Pavlov also recalls the words of the prince in the manifesto of the First World War: “I command our brave army to drive the enemy out of the kingdom.” “Let us remind you that this is the first head of state in the whole planet to board an airplane. He has an exceptional sense of modernization, he left his will to be buried in Bulgaria. We protect the Bulgarian national interests,” said the historian from Veliko Tarnovo. Prof. Pavlov University.
