Registrations are open! On Sunday October 3, the Deux Pieds Deux Roues and Le Sens de la Marche associations are organizing the fourth edition of the “Transtoulousaine” in Toulouse. The principle remains the same: to cross Toulouse on foot for pleasure and health. “Everyone walks freely, at their own pace, alone, with family or in a small group of friends, girlfriends, colleagues or any other company”, invite the associations. The objective of the event is above all to promote walking and to cultivate its benefits. The opportunity to discover or rediscover the city from another angle. To register, just go to the dedicated website, choose your route and fill in your contact details. All audiences can participate. A free contribution is requested from 2 euros.
60 cumulative kilometers of route
In total, the Transtoulousaine offers eight starting points and five routes for all tastes, from 6 to 16 kilometers. The different routes start in the municipalities of:
- Blagnac (10 kilometers),
- Fonbeauzard (15 kilometers),
- Saint-Orens de Gameville (16 kilometers),
- Portet sur Garonne (12 kilometers),
- Toulouse (Ramier Island, 6 km).
Intermediate departure points are established:
- Les Sept Deniers (on the Blagnac route, 7 kilometers),
- in Borderouge (on the Fonbeauzard route, 8 kilometers),
- at the Hers gymnasium (on the Saint-Orens route, 9 kilometers).
The arrival, point of convergence and meeting of the participants, will be on the Île du Ramier, at the Théâtre de verdure. A picnic and a visit to discover the latest developments on the island are also on the program.
Departures will be free between 8:30 am and 10:30 am. A “walking book”, which details the routes to be taken, will be given to each participant at the start. “A photo game brings an additional playful touch”, rejoice the organizers.
