At the start of the new season in the 1st Bundesliga, a 2-0 set lead was not enough for the volleyball players to win PSvBG Salzburg. After the PSvBG women had won the first two sets, the third and fourth sets went to the Tyrolean women. The fifth sentence was all about everything, in the end what, according to head coach Ulrich Sernow, was a “very questionable decision”, that the pendulum failed to respect the Innsbruck women. The Salzburg women can at least console themselves with one point.
“To get a point away against the fourth player last season is not bad at first, but a bit annoying after a 2-0 lead. There were clear reasons, however, that we had not yet been able to hold out one hundred percent physically for three to five sentences, ”said Sernow after the game balance sheet.
Volleyball men lose at the start of the season
After an eleven-month longer Corona break, the men also started the new season in the 2nd Bundesliga, but Bisamberg earlier admitted defeat 3-0.
“After such a long break, the boys want to do particularly well. Unfortunately we still made too many mistakes and helped Bisamberg to win ”, said coach Carsten Seith.
PSvBG is looking forward to a home game doubles
The first home game double awaits in Rif (Tenengau) next Saturday. First, the PSvBG men receive Wolfurt at 5 p.m., and the Bundesliga women play against Bisamberg at 7.30 p.m.
“In the last few weeks we have worked a lot on the implementation of the current Covid regulations and drawn up prevention concepts. We are now looking forward to the home game start on Saturday, ”emphasized chairman Ulrich Sernow.
