A 26-year-old who attacked his mother at home in the Rohrbach district at the beginning of September has been in custody in Salzburg since Saturday. In order to rule out any possible bias, the case was delegated there at the request of the Linz Public Prosecutor’s Office. The accused is the son of a judicial officer from Linz, a spokeswoman for the Salzburg public prosecutor’s office at the request of the APA.
Because of the suspicion of bodily harm with serious permanent consequences as well as dangerous threats are currently being investigated. The suspect is believed to have hit his 55-year-old mother several times. When he became violent, an eyewitness fled the house out of fear. Then the rescue received an emergency call in connection with a fall down a staircase.
Mother seriously injured: 26-year-old is silent
The helpers found the seriously injured woman on the basement stairs. SHE was transferred to the Rohrbach Hospital in Linz University Hospital after initial treatment, where she has been in the intensive care unit ever since. The 26-year-old was very drunk at the time of the crime and has not yet given any information about the incident.
