Firefighters from Velešín conquered Prague. They won the Czech Republic Rescue Championship Company News Budějcká Drbna
The Velešín volunteer firefighters managed an unexpected success. They took first place in the national championship in rescue in traffic accidents. At the same time, you will receive an award for the best commander and competition medic.
A unit of volunteer firefighters from Velešín participated in the rescue competition for the first time. “When the unit learned of the nomination for the Czech Republic Championship from the Fire Brigade of the South Bohemian Region in June this year, there was concern. Fear that the result would not be a disgrace because she lacked experience. After all, a competitive attempt is different from practice, and yet the preparation is well usable for real interventions. “ described the deputy commander JSDHO Velešín Petr Skřivánech.
The competition team started training the rescue instructor and judge of these competitions Michael Gabriška from Český Krumlov. In less than three months, the team managed to prepare so that on Saturday, September 25, it could embark on a nationwide competition. “If we finished last, but we were satisfied with a proven attempt, it would be a success for us.” so commented on the expectations a member of the four-member team Milan Vlažný.
Twelve teams competed at the Prague Exhibition Grounds in Holešovice, including very experienced units. Velešín will be freed by a wedged person in the fastest time among volunteer firefighters, permanently within 15 minutes and 39 seconds. At the same time, their progress, use of technology and patient care were rewarded with a high number of points. And all this unexpected first place.
The tactic of intervention under the leadership of Patrik Chumlen was a decisive reward with the prize for the best commander. The second individual award was for the best paramedic, which was also won by Velešák, Pavel Pečenka. The competition team also consisted of Filip Vítů and Milan Vlažný.
