Jacques MONORY (Born in 1924 in Paris. Died in 2018).
Jacques Monory’s universe evokes a world of images painted in blue, pink or yellow. Jacques Monory is one of the major figures of Narrative Figuration, an artistic movement that appeared in the 1960s in France to oppose abstract painting.

The work ” Special n ° 17, La Montagne Le Parmelan, view of Alex »(2004) illustrating the tragic past of the Maquis des Glières is an introduction to a theme on the landscape and the quotation in the work of Jacques Monory, completed by paintings belonging to the series of Black and Riddles.
