Brno Rector Danuše Nerudová ties her driving life with Toyota – AutoRevue.cz
The Czech Republic could have to have a president who enjoys wild cars with a timeless design. At least such are the preferences of Danuš Nerudová, an economist and rector of Mendel University in Brno, who would like to apply for a place at the Castle after Miloš Zeman. In addition, the experienced driver admitted that she maintains the loyalty of only one brand – the Japanese Toyota – practically for the entire time she has been on the roads.
At present, perhaps the most famous Czech rector was not lazy for being young and obtained a driver’s license at the age of 18. Nevertheless, her own car became an indispensable tool and partner for her, because without it he would hardly be able to devote himself to all his activities, due to which he has to constantly commute between the two largest Czech cities – Prague and her home Brno.
She tied her driving life mainly to one car brand, the Japanese Toyota. “I’ve changed quite a few cars since I was 18. I started with Škoda Felicia, but then I was loyal only to Toyota, “ admits Danuše Nerudová, who at the same time
and all the models that were ever parked in her personal garage – Yaris, Corolla, but also Avensis. However, the court car of the Nerud family has been the Lexus in particular for the last few years.
Danuše Nerudová herself now drives a Lexus ES 300h, and from a user point of view she can’t complain. “I appreciate the comfort it provides to the driver the most.” she shared her own experience. “Even after a long drive, one gets out of the car as if after relaxation. It is compact and fits perfectly in corners. Unlike GS, it’s not like sport riding, but with Sport mode you can enjoy it on small roads. ” supplies the Czech economist. However, her answer shows a significant sign of nostalgia.
She claims that the model predecessors of the ES 300h – the Lexus GS 450h – have so far grown to her heart. “It suited me mainly with its timeless design and unbridled wildness,” lead, but with the fact that he has a different, but relatively clear, idea of his dream car. It is a machine of German origin – Porsche Carrera 4S.
However, the Brno rector will definitely not get lost in traffic, regardless of which steering wheel she is currently behind. She confirmed this during this summer, when she went on a family holiday in a caravan and took on the role of a driver. So even handling larger cars is not a problem for her. He claims that he respects all the principles of safe traffic on the roads, but prefers a little wilder driving.
However, she almost almost got away with it once. “When I finished college, my left rear wheel fell on the highway at 130 km / h. Fortunately, we didn’t fly off the highway or roll over. “ recalls his only major car accident so far. And although she is bothered by the current state of the Czech roads and the related passability, the most urgent problem is still mainly due to the ruthlessness of some drivers.
“I could imagine a normal life without a car, but not completely,” delivers shorter ambiguously. If she really managed to replace Miloš Zeman in the presidency, they would have to make 100% changes in her driving habits. At least she probably couldn’t keep her loyalty to Toyota anymore. In that case, would she return to Škoda following the example of the current president? Or would she prefer another brand? That remains a question for now.
