Andrey Turchak: “The composition of the” United Russia “faction in the 8th convocation of the State Duma will be renewed by half”
The party retained a constitutional majority in the Lower House of Parliament and received 324 mandates.
“United Russia” in the current electoral cycle has confidently won elections at all levels – and the governor, and in the legislative assembly, and municipal. Our most important victory, of course, was the preservation of the constitutional status in the State Duma, the recognized secretary of the General Council of United Russia Andrei Turchak, commenting on the election results, summed up the CEC.
“Our goal was to get more than 300 seats in the new Duma. Today we officially officially state that our party received 324 mandates as a result of the voting.“, – said Andrey Turchak.
He admits that United Russia is systematically engaged in updating the party, attracting new bright, talented people in politics. The State Duma elections were no exception.
“Along with experienced deputies, many new people in politics come to the Duma. These are volunteers, doctors, teachers, entrepreneurs, cultural and social workers. There are representatives of the All-Russian Popular Front, the We Are Together movement, and the winners of the Leaders of Russia and PolitStartup contests. There are many young people (18%), approximately every fifth deputy of ours is under 35 years old. As a result, our faction in the State Duma has been renewed by half, ”said the secretary of the General Council of the party.
For example, new faces in the lower house of parliament – deputy chairman of the Public Chamber’s commission on social policy, labor relations and support for veterans, head of the Central Headquarters of the “Russian student detachments” Mikhail Kiselev (Tomsk region), head of the regional executive committee of the ONF in the Sverdlovsk region Zhanna Ryabtseva (Sverdlovsk region ), First Deputy Chairman of the Ryazan Regional Duma, Doctor Dmitry Khubezov (Ryazan Region), member of the ONF Central Headquarters, Head of the ONF Youth Igor Kastyukevich (Voronezh Region), Chairman of the Council of Mothers Tatyana Butskaya (Moscow), Chairman of the Russian Youth Group Community Yulia Ogloblina (Republic of Mordovia), winner of the personnel project of “United Russia” “Federal Political Startup”, volunteer Andrey Gimbatov (Volgograd region), co-chairman of the central headquarters of the All-Russia People’s Front, executive secretary of the “Search Movement of Russia” Elena Tsunaeva (Novgorod region), secretary of the Khabarovsk regional from division of “United Russia” Maxim Ivanov (Khabarovsk Territory), Secretary of the Amur regional department Vyacheslav Loginov (Amur region) and others.
In some regions, there has been a complete or almost complete renewal of the deputy corps. For example, the list of elected deputies by constituency and majority by single-mandate constituencies has been completely updated. A similar situation is in the Ivanovo, Kaliningrad regions and Crimea. The deputy corps from the Republics of Dagestan and Ingushetia has been completely renewed. Half of the elected deputies on the federal list are represented by “new faces” in Moscow and the Moscow region. Also in Moscow, the list of “single-mandates” has been updated – 7 out of 11 will also be represented for the first time by United Russia in the State Duma.
“NSAlmost 200,000 residents of Omsk supported the United Russia party. This is a great responsibility for us, we justify the trust we have placed. Citizens, voting for our party, first of all confirmed their confidence in the course of development of the state, elected by the President. There are new people in our team who have not been elected before.“, – I am grateful Vadim Berezhnoy, Secretary of the Omsk regional branch of “United Russia”.
We will remind, the elections to the State Duma were held from 17 to 19 September. The party has nominated more than 600 candidates on the federal list and single-mandate constituencies. At the suggestion of President Vladimir Putin, the federal list was headed by Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, chief physician of the Kommunarka hospital Denis Protsenko, co-chairman of the ONF Central Headquarters Yelena Shmeleva and Presidential Commissioner for the Protection of Children’s Rights Anna Kuznetsova.
Simultaneously with the elections to the lower house of parliament, direct elections were held for the heads of nine constituent entities of the Russian Federation and 39 regional parliaments. In total, in this electoral cycle, United Russia has nominated more than 33,000 candidates.
