Two arrests by the Carabinieri, one had tried to ‘escape’ on a bus
(ANSA) – NAPLES, SEPTEMBER 26 – An eventful pursuit on the Naples seafront, with one of the two ‘fugitives’ who at one point, leaving the car he was on, got on a bus, trying to blend in with the passengers. But he and the other person in the car were blocked.
It all happened at 8:30 this morning when the motorcyclists of the Carabinieri ordered the halt to the two aboard an SUV in transit on the seafront of Via Caracciolo in Naples.
The car did not stop and the pursuit started. The driver – who will then already be known to the police and without a driving license – after turning at high speed and in contradiction on Piazza Vittoria – via Chiatamone hit and damaged a road sign pole on the steps that give access to via Partenope.
The two allowed to continue with the car despite the punctured tire but in the end they left the vehicle and ran away. The patient was immediately blocked while I was searching for the driver.
The man was tracked down shortly after in Piazza Bovio. He was on board a bus. The Carabinieri entered the bus and arrested him.
The young man found, searched, was in possession of a 26 centimeter “sub” knife. Investigations are underway regarding the presence of the two in that area (ANSA).
