TBW women have no chance against 1. FC Köln
Wuelfrath. The TBW women lost against 1. FC Köln. The Cologne women had meanwhile been able to set themselves apart clearly.
“Unfortunately, the game is not under a particularly good star before it is kicked off,” said the Turnerbund after the defeat against 1. FC Köln. In addition to the two injured – Jule Kürten, Melina Otte and the vacationer Rike Büngeler, Katharina Karbowski also reported sick at short notice. Simone Fränken was also bound by a police operation.
Coach Michael Cisik could not draw on the full. Even more serious was the fact that the Gymnastics Association could not offer a regular runner.
The Wülfratherinnen were in the game up to the 10th minute (6: 4), but then nothing more went up until the 25th. Cologne had a decisive lead with an 8: 1 run (14: 5). In defense there were always gaps for Cologne. The attack no longer takes place on the part of the TBW. “We made too many technical errors, the face-offs didn’t work, the throwing decisions weren’t good and the goalkeeper from Cologne stood in our way,” says Jörg Büngeler. So it was pretty sobering with a deficit in half time.
Michael Cisik and the team did not want to give up the game and hold it against it again in the second half.
Until the 47th minute it did not increase anymore – it was 19:12 from the Cologne women’s point of view. A great virtue of TB, however, is never to give up and keep fighting. In the 53rd minute, the gap was only three goals (23:20). Cologne was becoming more nervous. “If we hadn’t made another bad pass at 22:20 in the 57th minute, which would lead to the decision for Cologne in the counter-attack, we might still be able to hope for a point,” says Büngeler.
So there was only disappointment after the final whistle. This is all the greater because the Wülfrath women had discarded four seven meters. A bright spot in the game against Cologne was TBW goalkeeper Lisa Klanz, she offered a “very strong performance”, summarizes Jörg Büngeler. Your defense rate was 44 percent.
There will be no play next weekend and then Kleenheim will come.
