Slovakia from the sky: See the picturesque Liptovský Mikuláš from a bird’s eye view – Traveler’s advice – Travel
This piece of land is one of the most picturesque that we have in Slovakia.
Liptovský Mikuláš lies on the right bank of the river Váh in places where the river flows through the middle of the long and landscape-perfect Liptov basin. The town and its surroundings are immediately surrounded by the distinctive peaks of the Choč Hills, the Low Tatras and the Western Tatras, whose panorama is complemented in the distance by the High Tatras.
This piece of land is definitely one of the most picturesque we have in Slovakia. People are dedicated to concentrating their lives here right in the middle of the basin, in Liptovský Mikuláš. From a small settlement, a medieval town emerged, which fatefully entered not only into our history, but also legends. In March 1713, it was here that Juraj Jánošík was tried, convicted and executed.

When his name is spoken, not only bandit scenes but also beautiful natural scenery emerge in front of his eyes. On all sides of the city, roads lead to the mountains, passing into forest paths through deep canyons and between steep cliffs. And above them, there is then a world of unique aerial photographs of Liptovský Mikuláš and its surroundings from the sky.
