Monaco overthrows Clermont / Ligue 1 (J8)
Mistreated early in the match, ASM found the resources to sign a valuable success against Clermont this Sunday (3-1).
All is not yet perfect, but Monaco is moving forward. On the move to Clermont, the Principality’s club collected an important victory on the lawn of Clermont, in a meeting fragmented in two stages. The start of the match was to the credit of the locals, who were thirsty for revenge after their last outings. The promoted quickly unblocked the situation thanks to the inevitable Bayo, who improved a center from N’Simba (1-0, 7th). A new match then began for the ASM, pitted in its pride.
Monaco did not fall into the trap
If Kovac’s men have exceeded the top speed in terms of intensity, they must however wait half an hour of play to resurface. And it is again Wissam Ben Yedder, shortly before the half hour of play, who played the detonators with a superb technique of sequence (1-1, 26th).
As soon as they returned from the locker room, the Asémistes again forced the opposing lock under the impetus of the excellent Ciao Henrique. Already involved on the first goal, the left side of ASM this time served Völland, whose attempt hit the mark (1-1, 48th). And if the second act was quite undecided, Monaco has definitely sealed its success in stoppage time thanks to a third goal from young Sofiane Diop (3-1, 90th + 1). This result allows the Principality’s club to climb to 8th place. Clermont slips to the 15th.
