Ukraine expects that the Bundestag will cause trouble for the development of Ukrainian-German coalition relations.
This was announced by Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba on the air “TSN. Results of the week“.
According to him, even before the election, Ukraine is conducting systematic work with all political forces in Germany.
“The president talked to the leaders of the Christian Democrats, Armin Lashet. I talked to the leaders of the Social Democrats, Olaf Scholz, who was in Berlin. We worked with each of the political forces that will not hold coalition talks and proved their position on key issues.” said Kuleba.

“The name of the chancellor is especially important, but Ukraine is most interested in what the coalition will be like. With the combinations I see today, the coalition will be unfavorable for the development of Ukrainian-German relations,” Kuleba said.
Elections to the German parliament will be held under a mixed system. 47 parties are vying for seats in the Bundestag.
The current composition of the Bundestag – 709 deputies, which is a record number. The statutory minimum number of seats is 598.
Polling stations were open during the voting in the Bundestag elections on September 26 at 8:00 am. In total, about 60.4 million Germans had the right to vote in this election, of which about 2.8 million were initially.
