In the coming hours, the weather in our territory is also affected by the pressure below. It will bring rain and occasionally storms to our territory. However, much more intense storms are currently occurring in the northern part of the Mediterranean.
At the moment, the weather in Europe is causing a lower pressure area, which is already affecting the area of the relatively Mediterranean rainfall. However, they are both locally and abundant and can have problems.
The area is mainly concerned with the development of massive storm activity, which has already produced tens of thousands of lightning bolts and is bringing heavier rainfall.

Intense storm activity began to appear in the early morning hours in the area of southern France. From there, intense storms move across the northern part of the Mediterranean to the area of Italy where they are currently located.

Lightning detection has recorded more than 250,000 lightning strikes since this morning, which is an extremely large number.
Intense storm activity is currently shifting towards the Adriatic Sea and will arrive in the northern part of Croatia in the early evening. Istria is particularly at risk, where massive storms are expected.

Level 2 alerts are currently in force throughout almost all of Italy. In the region of Tuscany, even the highest level 3 warning is in force.
Meteorologists estimate that the situation in Italy will continue to be extremely dangerous in the coming hours. In addition to lightning, storms will also provide torrential rain. Up to 250 mm of precipitation can fall in the Liguria and Genoa area, with totals already exceeding 100 mm at some stations.
In the morning the precipitation arrives in Slovakia
During the morning hours, precipitation will move across the Northern Balkans and Hungary over our territory.
Precipitation over Slovakia should arrive on Monday morning and will gradually spread over many places in western and central Slovakia.
It should be mainly rain, but occasionally there may be storms that will increase the rain. Monday will be raining in our territory. Up to 30 mm of precipitation can fall.
