In the south of Prague, a cycle path connected to the path from Vestec was created
Work should begin on October 1 and end by December this year. Fill it in from the information published on the website of the Prague Technical Administration of Communications (TSK). Last year, more cyclists arrived in the capital. Automatic counters located on cycle paths counted more than 4.45 million passes, which is almost 1.13 million more year-on-year.
In the western part, the cycle path will connect to the existing road, at the so-called pipe culvert across the Olšanský stream. The length of the proposed routes is less than 272 meters and will be three meters wide. During the construction, the current road with an asphalt surface at the mentioned culvert across the Olšanský stream will be repaired.
This year, the municipality planned to invest 122 million crowns in bicycle transport through TSK, which is slightly less than was prepared for last year. The main cycling projects include the underpass under the Mánes Bridge in Klárov in Prague 1 and the start of the construction of a footbridge between Holešovice and Karlín.
There are over 515 of these marked routes in Prague, of which about two hundred lead outside the road with cars. Cyclists have separate parking spaces in front of cars in more than 340 intersections, marked by about 50 kilometers of cycle lanes and about 34 long-term pictorcorridors, where bicycle symbols are depicted on the road, which warn drivers of frequent cyclists.
