The city will be placed under very close surveillance.
President Emmanuel Macron is expected in Lyon this Sunday. He should arrive around 8 p.m. at the prefecture. He will take part in the Diner des Grands Chef in the company of 300 other guests and most of the elected officials of the Lyon area.
Residents should therefore expect severe traffic and parking disruptions in the area from mid-afternoon. Part of the platforms in the 3rd arrondissement will notably be closed. The T1 tram line will also be counted between the Auditorium Part-Dieu and Hôtel de Région Montrochet stops.
This Monday, the Head of State will go to Sirha, the International Restaurant, Hotel and Food Fair, to meet professionals in the sector at the end of the health crisis. He will then take the direction of the Cité Internationale to present the project of the future Lyon Academy of the WHO in the company of dr. Tedros, the director general of the UN organization. Here again, traffic difficulties are to be expected in the 7th arrondissement of Lyon.
