Class Excellence, Victor San Marino catches a draw in Class in the final (1-1)
The Victor San Marino finds the equalizer four minutes from the triple whistle of the referee Sangiorgi and consequently avoids the first defeat .. The final result of Classe-Victor San Marino at the “Comunale” stadium in Classe (Ravenna) is 1 -1 after 90 minutes played in incessant rain that made the pitch even more difficult for both football teams.
Compared to the starting formation lined up last Wednesday in the match won in the Italian Cup in Fratta Terme, the Biancazzurri coach Gianni D’Amore confirms 5 players (Pedrazzini, Rosti, Morelli, Sapori and Zabre) and decides to rely also on Pazzini, Luvisi, De Queiroz, captain Barone, Pastorelli and Prandelli to conquer Classe.
The first half begins and the first interesting action of the match is created by Victor San Marino: at 10 ‘a nice throw by Captain Barone for Prandelli who goes to the conclusion, Baldassarri stretches out on the ground and thus rejects the goal of the disadvantage. Four minutes later, a new attempt by the San Marino club to unlock the match in his favor with Pedrazzini who, on the development of a corner beaten by captain Barone, tries to destroy to surprise Baldassarri, but the latter parries with great ease. At 15 ‘the Classe is noted forward with Frisari, well caught by L. Ferri from the left, who goes to impact dangerously with his head towards the blue-white goal, Pazzini is careful and blocks the ball in two times.
Ten minutes later, the Romagna team took the lead: on the development of a free-kick from the left, the ball arrived in the middle and Pazzini managed to oppose Fogli but could really do nothing on Bottini’s tap-in. Class-Victor San Marino 1-0, the biancazzurra team and its dark-faced fans after conceding a goal. The Classe could even double to close the match prematurely in the 29th minute: insidious overturned by Frisari, the ball finished high above the crossing of the Victor San Marino goal. The San Marino team struggled at the moment to annoy the opponents and create play and scoring until the 43 ‘, in which Pastore could equalize with a shot from distance, but the ball ends out of a whisker. The first portion of the game ends with the Classe ahead of a goal on Victor San Marino, who did little or nothing to create some serious headaches for Mr. Matteucci’s men.
In the second half the Victor San Marino, compared to the first 45 ‘, is more proactive and gritty so much so that at 13’ he tries to put the opposing rearguard in difficulty with a very dangerous offensive maneuver: cross by the newly entered Pancotti from the right and Bottini in extremis manages to anticipate Zabre a few steps from the door. Big risk for the Class of immediately the equal goal.
A minute later it is still the men of Mr. D’Amore who give life to two scoring actions within a few seconds on the development of some free kicks beaten by captain Barone: first Pedrazzini sends high with his head, then Baldassarri makes an amazing save on the gored decided by Prandelli.
As the minutes pass, in addition to increasing the intensity of the rain, a bit of nervousness also rises in Classe: the referee Sangiorgi tries to calm the spirits of L. Ferri and the substitute Bardeggia, who fought after a tackle of game. The referee manages to calm down after a few seconds, but only warns the blue-white striker.
When there are four minutes to the end of the match, not only does the rain stop in Classe but also the equalizer goal of Victor San Marino: Albonetti’s cross from the right, Baldassarri comes out empty and Zabre scores with a wide open door without problems. Class-Victor San Marino 1-1, the efforts made by the biancazzurri in the second half are rewarded by the attacker’s first goal of the season. There are also sparks between Baldassarri and Prandelli, with the latter trying to get the ball out of the hands of the opposing goalkeeper to ensure that he can quickly resume the game after Zabre’s goal. The referee Sangiorgi penalizes both with a yellow card and both Baldassarri and Prandelli calm down.
In the final match, however, the team from Romagna reacts and tries to score the definitive 2-1 goal: at 43 ‘Frisari first has the conclusion neutralized by Pazzini, then the tap-in to the beaten goalkeeper fails sensationally in the same action. Chills down the back of Victor San Marino and his supporters. And it’s not here: at 45 ‘Fogli jokes Rosti and releases a powerful right-footed shot at the near post, Pazzini dives and pushes back into the corner without immediately another goal for Victor San Marino. At the last of the 4 minutes of injury time granted by the referee Sangiorgi, the biancazzurri have the very last opportunity to take home the entire stake: Luvisi’s cross from the right and Prandelli stands out in the area, the ball ends very far from the goal defended by Baldassarri. The San Marino club and its fans are desperate for the 2-1 missed goal.
Coach D’Amore’s men have less than a week at their disposal to learn from their mistakes and rediscover their ideas and energy ahead of next Sunday’s home game against Diegaro (kick-off at 15.30). The goal of Victor San Marino, currently 7th in the classification of group C with 5 points, is to regain the victory in the championship, perhaps in front of the fans at the Acquaviva Stadium, after two consecutive draws that have left the bitterness in the mouth.
