Forward Bruno Coelho said this Sunday he was expecting a “spectacular” game between the Portuguese futsal team and Spain, in the ‘quarters’ of the World Cup, considering that the team “that makes less mistakes, will come out victorious”.
“There is a lot of anticipation, because of the final of the last European. The two teams will give everything and I think it will be a spectacular game, very competitive and where you will see the best and greatest capacity of all players,” he said in declaration to the official website of the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF), on the eve of a new Iberian duel.
In memory, there is still the historic triumph of the ‘quinas’ team at the 2018 European Championship, in Slovenia, over the Spanish counterpart, by 3-2, after extra time, in what was only the second Portuguese victory in 29 clashes between the two teams , where there are also four equalities and 23 favorable results for the ‘neighbor country’.
“The team that misses the least, will be victorious, for sure. It’s a game of details. The smallest detail or slip can be expensive. It’s in these moments that we have to be concentrated”, he stressed, focusing only on the work done by the Portuguese.
The 34-year-old Napoli Italian player indicated that, in case Portugal cannot impose their game and when they are not running well, that is where concentration should prevail and should increase: “If we are not concentrated, focused and making the most of our resources, it gets more difficult”.
Portugal and Spain face each other at 17:30 (15:30 Lisbon) on Monday, in a match counting for the quarter-finals of the Futsal World Cup, at Vilnius Arena, in the Lithuanian capital. The winner of the match will face Iran or Kazakhstan in the semi-finals.
