Three days to rest: Putin went fishing in Siberia
The Kremlin press service has published footage taken during the president’s vacation in Siberia in early September… A vacation that only lasted a few days Vladimir Putinwithout changing traditions, spent in nature. I went for walks and, of course, went fishing.
When the boat’s engine stops, there is a peaceful silence. It’s time to go fishing. Vladimir Putin and Sergei Shoigu fish directly from the ship. A pike is taken out of the water. “Good pike!” – Shoigu comments on the catch.
Vladimir Putin embarked on this journey after a busy working trip to the Far East. In the capital of Primorye, he spoke at a plenary economic forum, where he spoke about the new opportunities of the Far East in a changing world. From Vladivostok, Vladimir Putin went to the Amur Region. He inspected the construction of the youngest Russian cosmodrome – Vostochny. He also presented state awards to people who eliminated the consequences of fires and floods in the Russian regions.
The three days that the president set aside for a vacation in Siberia also turned out to be eventful.
– Where is the bear sleeping? Where are their dens?
“They go to the mountains,” Gennady Kiselev, director of the Sayano-Shushensky nature reserve, answers the president.
It is not the first time that the director of the Sayano-Shushensky nature reserve has joined the president and the minister. On his phone, Gennady Kiselev shows Vladimir Putin the footage that he managed to shoot with video traps installed throughout the reserve. Siberian mountain goats, which are called ibex here, demonstrate their strength to each other. And here you can see how a huge bear successfully hunted the cubs of this species. There are about six hundred such predators in this reserve.
Sometimes video traps fall into the clutches of young leopards, who, like any kittens, are not alien to funny games. Video surveillance allows you to keep track of the number of animals and find out how their fates are developing.
– We had Ichthyander here, he lived alone. We brought him a female. Well, he was already so old. And then a healthy young male appeared from somewhere. He squeezed out, drove away our Ichthyander, now lives on the periphery. And he himself became from this family. Already two kittens – says Kiselev.
The president and the minister of defense walk a lot in the taiga and often come to enjoy the pristine beauty of Siberian nature. “Such fields!” Shoigu sighs.
But you can only get to some access points by transport. When Vladimir Putin and Sergei Shoigu drive around the reserve by car, a herd of marals rushes out to meet them. Large red deer amazed the president with their power.
– We almost got shot down! And at such a huge speed! Jumping! They have to compete at the Olympic Games. No one would be equal – the president shares his impressions.
Overnight stay here, at an altitude of about two thousand meters above sea level. Sergei Shoigu is amused by the image of the fireplace, which he notices on the wall in the tent. Vladimir Putin calls the minister to the light.
– It warms, and the truth!
– Well thought up, cozy, – says Shoigu.
– Yes.
Yet no fireplace can match the warmth of a real flame. Vladimir Putin spends the final of his short vacation by the fire.
