First Serie A start for Daniel Maldini with Milan

On May 31, 2009 in Florence, AC Milan beat Fiorentina 2-0 on the 38th and final matchday of Serie A. But that day, the result didn’t matter. It was mostly the last game of Paul Maldini with AC Milan.

40 years old then, Maldini came to wear for the 902nd time the jersey of AC Milan (and for the 647th time in Serie A, a record since broken by Gianluigi Buffon).

And this Saturday, at 3:00 p.m., on the occasion of the meeting between La Spezia and AC Milan, a Maldini will be in the game. This is Daniel Maldini, Paolo’s son and Cesare’s grandson (former great Italian player then coach of Italy).

Daniel Maldini is indeed holder in the 4-2-3-1 Stefano Pioli as a playmaker behind the only striker lined up at the tip (Giroud).

This tenure follows Pioli’s desire to blew its workforce before the Champions League, the usual holder being Brahim diaz.

Born October 11, 2001 in Milan, of course, Daniel Maldini is 19 years old and already has fourteen appearances with the Rossoneri.

And if he has already played nine times in Serie A (first match on February 2, 2020 against Hellas Verona), Daniel Maldini, on the other hand, had never been established. It is now chosen made!
