On Friday morning several witnesses observed a spectacular robbery in Cologne and then wedged the suspect with their cars. Shortly before 9 a.m., a 48-year-old man with his Mercedes rammed a Kia Sportage on Universitätsstrasse several times and finally brought it to a standstill, reports the police.
Let the man get out and walk to the Kia. There he hit the 44-year-old driver and stole a bag with several thousand euros from the passenger seat. Then he tried to flee in his dark Mercedes – but he probably did not expect the courageous intervention of some other drivers who had seen the crime.
With her cars, she stopped the 48-year-old alleged perpetrator on the foothill road and wedged him in, so the police continued – until officers summoned to arrest him. The background of the crime are now the subject of ongoing investigations by the criminal investigation department. Six cell phones were also seized from the man, and their origin was also being determined.
