There were many things to try, from the art of wood carving to jewelry, from child laborers to target shooting. The idea holder of the Debrecen Value Day is Zsuzsa Tiszai, the leader of the Debrecen Hajdú Dance Ensemble.
“There are beautiful values everywhere, but many times I have found that we do not notice what is around us, so the values that surround us in the strictest sense, and I think only of traditions, but interpret culture broadly,” said Zsuzsa Tiszai.
The program was created with the cooperation of non-governmental organizations, the city, the Debrecen and the County Treasury Committee. The event was a good opportunity for the public to meet the values of the city in one place.
“These values are here with us in everyday life, as artisans and large companies create these values every day on working days, but sometimes it is good to stop, look around and see a bouquet together,” said Deputy Mayor István Puskás.
The 1st Debrecen Value Day was organized with the intention of creating a tradition. It is planned that this special program will be held in the heart of the city next year as well.
