“Calais must escape the place of relegation which sticks to its skin”

– Fleur, how do you feel in this new group?

“The group has changed a lot but I feel particularly comfortable with all the girls. We are happy to be in the field. There is good cohesion and a great osmosis between us. It’s a pretty good sign ”.

– What did you feel during this victory at Mondeville in the Cup the last week?

“To be honest, a slight relaxation. We had a little complicated preparation. In addition, we had started with two big defeats and that did not really give you confidence. Beating Mondeville, a future big hunk of the coming season, even if their American was out, feels good. For the cohesion of the group, this victory is important. I think we’re ready. Despite the injuries, we worked well and I believe that all the players are affected by the project ”.

– Comment do you see your trip to Chartres?

“We have just recovered Anne-Françoise Diouf to strengthen the domestic sector. With our squad and our preparation, we are leaving serene but if Chartres will be one of the big pieces of the division with Toulouse and Mondeville ”.

– What do you expect from this new season?

“I hope that will escape this relegation position that has stuck with us for several seasons. I expect great cohesion from the team. Personally, I hope to bring that little extra that will allow the club to achieve its goals ”

ANAIS VIELOTTE ABSENT FROM ENTRY

After a promising victory (70-75) at Mondeville during the 1st round of the Coupe de France (they won Saint-Amand in the 2nd), the COB Calais moved to Chartres to start the championship. ” In Mondeville, with five absent players and a workforce made up of four professionals and young people from the club, we were able to show a lot of solidarity and fighting spirit. », Explains Kévin Brohan, the Calais coach. ” The other good news is that Anne-Françoise Diouf is back from Africa while Emmanuelle Gorjeu and Inès Sequeira will be present for this first meeting. Only Anaïs Vielotte and Eve Wembanyama should be missing.
