Valutec will deliver 10 million timber kilns to VIDA in Sweden
Swedish VIDA is investing in Valutecare continuous furnaces for six of the group’s sawmills. The investment amounts to more than 10 million euros. It will increase the annual drying capacity by approximately 400,000 m3 (169.5 million board feet), while at the same time making energy consumption more efficient and drying quality higher. All ovens will be in operation by 2022.
The current investment includes a total of six continuous furnaces, namely FB -continuous furnaces for the sawmills in Alvesta, Tranemo, Vimmerby and Vislanda, an OTC model for the sawmill in Bruza, and VIDA’s first TC model in Borgstena.
All continuous ovens are delivered with Valutec’s new Valmatics 4.0 control system. Valmatics 4.0 is the only control system that combines simulator technology with adaptive control, which enables simultaneous optimization of capacity, quality and energy consumption.
