Toulouse: popular, luxury or racing, discover legendary cars this Friday

the essential
A major event for vintage car enthusiasts, the Auto Moto Classic show opens its doors this Friday, at the Meett in Toulouse, with an enticing program. We discovered it in preview.

If today it is trivialized, sometimes shunned, sometimes hated, the automobile has not always occupied this place in the hearts of millions of French people. For a long time, it has been desired in particular because it is synonymous with freedom, self … nomie therefore, or quite simply for its beauty.

Designers and builders then had carte blanche to indulge themselves and at the same time treat millions of customers. This is how the huge automobile production has put on the roads models for some now forgotten but especially thousands of others who have marked their time, the minds, and for some even have become real myths. Reflections of a time when we loved driving as much as we drove in, a large number of these cars have survived thanks to the energy of true enthusiasts. It is this beautiful heritage of old cars, preserved and pampered, that we can discover from this Friday, and until Sunday evening, at the MEETT in Toulouse. The exhibition center and convention center is hosting the 4th edition of the Auto-Moto Classic Show. Over five hundred models are on display to be added, outside, over the weekend, hundreds of cars and motorcycles belonging to fans of the old connecting rods who came as spectators.

In halls 1, 2, 3 and 4, real beauties are gathered, ranging from popular to luxury cars via rare models, even unique in the world, such as this Buggatti 57 C tank which had the 24 hours of Le Mans in 1939. Enthusiasts will appreciate this great variety of remarkable models arriving from all over France under the eyes of Olivier Cahuzac, director of exhibitions at Toulouse Evénement, proud of this show.

80 years of the Jeep

For the eightieth anniversary of the Jeep, the legendary American brand has produced an exhibition retracing its history through the models, since the very first born in 1941. The police and Driver Experience will offer their side to try their hand at driving. of a real racing car on a simulator. A crossing of Toulouse will be organized by Meca Cœur, on Sunday morning, for the benefit of the Restos du cœur. Some activities will also allow you to climb aboard one of the forty models of Ferrari from the Fée-rarissime association.
